DMart Q2 profit up 9%, revenue jumps 18% amid wage pressures

Avenue Supermarts saw consolidated net profit rise 8.5% year-on-year to Rs 743 crore in Q2FY27, with revenue climbing 17.8% to Rs 19,644 crore. The retailer added 15 stores, bringing its outlet count to 518. Despite the top-line growth, EBITDA and post-tax profit margins faced pressure from entry-level wage inflation during the quarter.
