Electoral roll revision sees disputed Form-7 applications

Bogus Form-7 applications have emerged during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across multiple states. In Telangana, a formal complaint was lodged against a booth level agent who allegedly submitted applications for deletion of 31 members from the same family. The Election Commission has directed Telangana authorities to take appropriate action. Maharashtra's Pune recorded 56,605 applications, while Karnataka has received 91,278 Form-7 applications with no voter deletions based on objections so far. The claims and objections period has been extended to October 12.
