INDIA bloc stages march against Chief Election Commissioner

Opposition MPs from the INDIA bloc marched from Parliament to the Election Commission headquarters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Heavy security deployment and barricades were deployed across Parliament and the EC office. The march was stopped by police, leading to the detention of several opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Gandhi climbed a police barricade and called for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. The detained leaders were later released and staged a sit-in outside Akashvani Bhawan.
